I am a professionally trained and Hypnosis and NLP Practitioner in Portland, Oregon. I started on my road to a career in hypnotherapy in a very organic way. I first began to explore hypnotherapy for myself. My journey to becoming a hypnosis professional has been a deeply personal one.
I, like many others started out skeptical about hypnosis. It was my experiences with hypnosis that allowed me to make major changes in the way that I view my life. The first thing I noticed was that in periods of stress, I could achieve what one patient once described to me as a “mental spa day.” It’s really just the simple act of taking a mental break from whatever anxiety I was experiencing and allowing myself the space and calm to connect with my own strengths. As I practiced hypnosis the more effective it became for me. Soon I found I was able to use hypnotherapy techniques to help overcome some of my own more persistent life challenges. In my experience, hypnotherapy is the most powerful tool there is for resolving issues and moving past mental blocks in order to pursue what I wanted to do with my life. When you find something that great you want to share it.
My approach to hypnotherapy is that of being your guide on a journey to “your self”. My goal is to assist clients to uncover their expectations and goals and help them to break free from debilitating negative emotions in order to reconnect with their innate strengths and abilities.
My objective is to support and enable positive changes in my clients. We work together to identify those areas that need focus and design a plan for their success. Through hypnosis, we are able to ascertain behaviors and beliefs and enable them to make positive changes. Some changes can take place after several visits and others can be accomplished in just one session. It all depends on the individual.
These changes take place in a relaxing, supportive environment. Hypnosis bypasses the critical thinking of the conscious mind to reach the deeper levels of the subconscious mind. Hypnosis can help make profound and lasting changes. I know it did for me.
